The Legacy Office

The sense of heritage is tangible from the moment you step inside this office building. The villa is a listed building with a rich legacy. Back in the 18th century, it was a manorial estate. The former town hall of Vrijenban has been transformed into an office that artfully blends history, refinement, and functionality.

The concept of the design was ’quiet history‘, expressed through an aptly chosen colour palette of Delft Blue, a beautiful pale to mid-shade blue with the slightest pink undertones, and muted sage green. Colours that are calm, elegant, and deeply rooted in the heritage of Delft. In the lounge and bar, warm orange accents and Delft Blue tiles bring a lively, inviting energy. Every detail reflects meticulous attention, from the rounded edges of the custom furniture to the intricate brass linework in the restrooms. Acoustics and technology are ingeniously integrated without compromising the listed building’s character. Glass doors with aged brass fittings and a new staircase with a runner create a grand entrance.

Dating back to 1878, the villa is now a modern-day workspace that inspires, moves, and amazes. A remarkable place where history and modern comfort meet with graceful harmony. As of 2025, the flag of the former municipality of Vrijenban proudly flies here once again. Above the entrance, the inscription ‘legi sacrum’ is displayed, meaning ‘dedicated to the law’. Both denote the living legacy of the Villa, a contemporary symphony of colour, form, and bespoke craftsmanship.
